Weekly Run Down Hello Autumn!!!

Hola, friends! Hope you are all doing wonderfully! Well, autumn is here and with it, my favorite season of the year, although I will miss getting out to walk in the summer. I really love, love, love this season. While I am a “running/working our in the summer” kind of person (I love hot weather), there is something really invigorating about the cooler temps. Although here in Minnesota, all it means is that winter is a lot closer now. Welp!! But so is life living in this beautiful state.

The cooler temps were awesome for getting outside this week. The whole week we had morning in the mid 40s although today it got to 37F in the morning. But then its beautiful in the afternoon. Which makes it the perfect for walking the dog in the mornings. These are his favorite temperatures for walking outside.

As for me— while there is still a lot of walking, the week looked better:

Monday

  • AM: 4 miles (walk), strength training // PM: 4 miles (walk)

Tuesday

  • AM: 4 miles (walk) // Functional Training Workout (gym)

Wednesday

  • AM: 4 miles (walk) // PM: 3 miles (walk) with weighted vest

Thursday: Breakthrough Day!!!

  • AM: 3 miles (walk) // PM: 4 miles (2 walk, 2 run)— Y’all, I decided to try running because I just have been missing it and wanted to see how my body would feel. And it felt GREAT! Not just getting to run, but just having a good sweat. Plus I love running by the cornfields and just taking in the fresh air and the scenery. Excited to start bringing running back into my routine!

Friday

  • Rest & Stretching

Saturday

  • AM: 4 miles (2 walk, 2 run)

Sunday

  • AM: Stretching // PM: 5 miles (walk)

I am super excited about the new week. I finally got rid on my cold, so I can go to the gym— with COVID and all, I was concerned about exposing people to my cold or getting exposed to it with a weak immune system. I am also excited to add more running to my week, although it will be slowly. But it is so great to get excited about running again. As you may remember, mid-summer I said goodbye to running because I was just not into it. Me thinks I had a case of burnout, because now, I cannot wait to get out there!

Have a great week, friends!
